Directions
The Theatherhotel has excellent accesibility by car and public transport. It is located in Almelo close to the ring route (N349). The hotel is easily reached via the A1 from the west, from the north using the N36 and the south via the A35. The central train station of Almelo is only a short walk away from the venue.

By train:
The easiest way to reach the hotel is by taking the train to Almelo station and walking to the venue. It is about a 12 minute walk from the station exit. Exit the station from the fron and take a right on the Stationsplein. Follow the Stationsplein until you can take a left onto Wierdenstraat. Follow the Wierdenstraat until you reach the busstation. From here continue straight until you reach the shopping gallery de Galerij. Cross through the gallery onto Koornmarkt. Go straight through here again onto the Schouwburgplein. The main entrance to the hotel will be on your right hand side.
By bus:
It is also possibe to reach the venue using several buslines. It's a 5 minute walk from the busstation Almelo Centrumplein to the venue through de Galerij and Koonmarkt, as described above. The bus lines shown below stop at this bus station.
You can also find stops for most of these lines in front of the train station. The bus station near the hotel is the first stop after the station. Make sure you take the bus in the correct direction. You can find the information on which stops a bus will stop at on the bus platform.

Accesibility by car
A1 coming from the west:
Follow the A1 towards the German border starting from Apeldoorn. It is about a 40 minute drive starting from Klarenbeek junction. Keep left at Azelo junction and follow the signs A35 in the direction of Almelo/Zwolle. Take exit 30, Almelo Zuid en turn right onto Henriëtte Roland Holstlaan. From this avenue take the second right onto the Nijreensingel. From here take the second left onto the Van Rechteren Limpurgsingel. Take the second left again onto the Hofstraat. Follow the Hofstraat until the road turns into a bikelane to reach P1, P2 and P3. The main entrance of the hotel can be reached by taking the first right from Hofstraat onto Schouwburgplein.
N36 coming from the north:
Coming from the north, follow the N36 starting from Ommen untilt he exit Almelo-Noord. Take the exit and turn left onto the Oostereilandweg. Follow this road. After crossing the Lateraalkanaal it will change name to the Van Rechteren Limpurgsingel, keep following this road. Take the first right after passing the estate Landgoed Huize Almelo onto the Hofstraat. Follow the Hofstraat until the road turns into a bikelane to reach P1, P2 and P3. The main entrance of the hotel can be reached by taking the first right from Hofstraat onto Schouwburgplein.
A35 coming from the south:
Follow the A35 from Enschede in the direction of Almelo. Take exit 30, Almelo Zuid en turn right onto Henriëtte Roland Holstlaan. From this avenue take the second right onto the Nijreensingel. Parking
The Theaterhotel has it's own parking in front of the hotel on "het Schouwburgplein". Visitors of the hotel can use this parking for free, however: this is a very small parking that is usually filled to capacity during the festival.
A better option is to use the Stadserf P3 parking just behind the hotel. Just follow the parking signs on the "Hofstraat". You can also park in Stadserf P1 and Stadserf P2, as you will drive past those two just before P3, but P3 has a direct entrance to the hotel on the 4th floor.
The maximum tariff for parking in Almelo is € 6,00 per 24 hours, except on Sunday when it is free. This pricing is both for the parkings and on the streets. If you show your P4 parking slip at the Hotel desk you'll pay the same € 6,00 per 24 hours.
For the old hands who used to visit the Theaterhotel in the past: yes the parkings have been renamed, P3 used to be P4, etc... Also: the good old days when parking was free in the neighbourhood are over.
