Cos2Play

We are excited to announce not one, but two judges for AnimeCon 2026! Please welcome Dedy and Onirica, veteran cosplayers from Spain who together form the duo Cos2Play.

Dedy

Dedy is a cosplayer and performance-oriented creator from Spain, best known as one half of Cos2Play. In 2012, he represented Spain at the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan, an experience that strongly shaped his approach to cosplay as a medium for storytelling and live performance.

Since then, Dedy has remained deeply involved in the international cosplay scene, both on and off stage. He has served as a judge at numerous international competitions, including the European Cosplay Gathering Finals in France in 2013, as well as several international preliminaries across Europe, AnimeCon among them.

At AnimeCon 2026, Dedy is excited to return to the Netherlands as a guest judge. He looks forward to sharing his experience through contest judging and a performance-focused workshop, while reconnecting with old friends and discovering new talents and passionate fans who continue to push the cosplay community forward.

Onirica

Onirica, from Madrid, Spain, has been cosplaying since 2004. What began as a fun activity with friends soon opened the door to an entirely new world for both her and Dedy.

The following year they entered the Spanish preliminary for the World Cosplay Summit for the first time. They kept competing year after year until finally achieving their goal in 2011, earning the chance to represent Spain in Japan in 2012 during the 10th Anniversary of the World Cosplay Summit. It remains one of the most incredible experiences of their lives, so memorable that they later returned as WCS Alumni in 2015.

As a duo

Since their trip to Japan, they have been invited to conventions across Spain and Europe as guests and judges. Many in the cosplay community know them by their duo name: Cos2Play.

AnimeCon holds a special place for them. They attended the convention for several years in a row before the COVID period brought changes to their lives, especially due to Onirica’s work, which led them to travel less and cosplay less frequently. That’s why they are especially happy to return, and they can’t wait to be back at AnimeCon!
