Yō (妖) Klei - Exploring the world of Yōkai

Explore the fascinating world of yōkai with a student of Japanese studies, and bring your very own magical yōkai to life in clay. This workshop is the perfect combination of expanding your knowledge and unleashing your creativity!

Tanuki, the study association for the BA Japan Studies program in Leiden, will be attending AnimeCon to host a small lecture on the magical world of yōkai. The lecture will be presented by one of their students, who has extensive knowledge of yōkai and will enthusiastically share their insights.

After the lecture, attendees will have the opportunity to sculpt their own yōkai in clay. The event is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable, think “clay and sip,” but instead of sipping, you’re absorbing knowledge. Clay will be provided for approximately 15 participants, so early arrival is recommended.

Ontdek de fascinerende wereld van yōkai samen met een student Japanstudies en breng je eigen magische yōkai tot leven in klei. Deze workshop is de perfecte combinatie van je kennis verbreden en je creativiteit de vrije loop laten!

Tanuki, de studievereniging voor de BA Japanstudies in Leiden, is aanwezig op AnimeCon om een korte lezing te verzorgen over de magische wereld van yōkai. De lezing wordt gegeven door een van hun studenten, die veel kennis heeft van yōkai en deze enthousiast met de bezoekers zal delen.

Na de lezing krijgen deelnemers de kans om hun eigen yōkai in klei te boetseren. Het evenement is bedoeld om ontspannen en leuk te zijn, denk aan een soort “clay and sip,” maar in plaats van drinken neem je kennis tot je. Er is klei beschikbaar voor ongeveer 15 deelnemers, dus zorg dat je op tijd bent!

Het belooft een creatieve en plezierige ervaring te worden, mis het niet!
