Washi (Japanese Paper) Lampshade Workshop
Enjoy creating a calming Washi paper lampshade that fills your space with a soft, warm glow! Using authentic Japanese Washi paper, you can freely tear and glue colorful patterns to craft your one-of-a-kind lamp. It’s a wonderful, relaxing craft activity for adults and a fun experience to enjoy with kids!
Make your own Japanese-style table lamp using Japanese Washi paper! In this 90-minute workshop, you can freely tear, glue and place colorful Washi paper onto a lamp base to create your own unique design.
When you turn it on, the soft light shining through the textured paper creates a lovely, cozy atmosphere in any room.
All materials, tools, and the LED light unit are included, so you don’t need to bring anything. Since the glue needs a little time to dry, you’ll take your lamp home to dry and enjoy a fun, quick final step at home to reveal your finished piece: turning it on!
It’s a fun, relaxing craft for adults, as well as a great activity to do with kids. Come take a peaceful break during AnimeCon and make a warm souvenir to take home. Feel free to join by yourself, with friends, or with family!
About the Instructor:
This workshop is run by Naoko from Coloratura. Naoko is a certified miniature clay instructor with over 10 years of experience. Since moving to Amsterdam 5 years ago, she has expanded her workshops to include other Japanese crafts using Washi paper, origami, and Japanese fabrics. Besides teaching, Naoko also makes and sells handmade accessories and home decor using traditional Japanese materials for Japanese events, local markets, and shops. Her workshops focus on creating a warm, cozy environment where everyone can enjoy a soothing craft experience and take home a piece they love.

Tickets for € 25.00 are sold online in our ticket shop under Subproducts. They will remain available until sold out or until 30 minutes prior to the start of the event.
If tickets are still available online during the festival you can also order them at the Registration desk and pay cash or using a card.
